Ethan Ellis is a 2019 OF/MIF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Rancho Bernardo. Ellis has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he attacks the baseball and has good momentum through release in the outfield. Ellis showed a compact arm stroke with arm strength up to 76 MPH. He has an idea of what he's doing and showed some athleticism in his footwork. On the infield he showed developing actions with a deep funnel to transfer. At the plate Ellis starts with an upright narrow stance with a leaned back start. He looks to elevate the baseball and has some leverage at contact. Ellis has a rotational lower half and flashed some bat speed with some carry to the gaps when squared up. Excellent student.
