Javier Hinojosa is a 2021 SS/RHP with a 5-11 148 lb. frame from Brownsville, TX who attends Veterans Memorial. Long and lean frame with a ton of room to fill. Recorded a 7.38 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, worked out in the infield with quick feet and good angles to the ball, attacks it well with a confident glove, clean funnel, gets rid of it quick from a short arm action and quick transfers. Secondary right-handed pitcher, competitor who commands the zone well with a two-pitch mix, quick arm through a high three-quarters slot that creates cut to the fastball, mixes in a hard biting curveball with depth for strikes. Right-handed hitter, stands tall and slightly open with high hands and a high back elbow, simple load and leg lift trigger, loose hands on a slightly lifted barrel plane, worked to all fields with developing control of the barrel and will improve with added strength in the hands.
