Devin Chavez is a 2021 C/RHP, 1B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Eastlake. Medium frame with an athletic build and room to add in the future. Ran a 7.95 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Sets up in a high stance behind the plate. Deliberate pace to transfer with clean actions throughout. Developing carry to accurate throws topping out at 66 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with a wide base and high hand and elbow set. Utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing with present bat speed. Aggressive hitter with a strong power approach generating lift through swing. Very good student as well.
