Kacy Dwornik is a 2008 LHP/1B from St John's Jesuit in Monroe, MI, with a 6'3'', 185 lb. frame. He is a young player with a large frame who should continue to get stronger. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm circle on the back side. His fastball topped out at 76 mph with arm side fade away from the right handed hitters. His curveball had a 1 to 7 break with depth at 61 mph. Dwornik is a young pitcher with projectable velocity and upside on the mound. Defensively he showed solid hands at first base and showed his long arm action on throws across the diamond. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who looks to make contact and put the ball in play. Dwornik uses his wrists well in his swing and made consistent contact. He is also an excellent student.
