Dakota Walker is a 2020 SS/RHP, 1B, 2B, 3B, MIF, IF, OF, UT with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Raeford, NC who attends Hoke County HS. Recorded a 7.98 second 60-yard dash. Room to fill out and add strength to the lean build. Primary shortstop with quickness to hands and accurate throws across. Three-quarter arm angle and has good present reads on ground balls. Smooth actions, particularly to the backhand, and funnels the ball through well. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a slight side step into a leg lift at the belt. Three-quarter arm slot but will dip down to sidearm to change looks. Long and loose arm stroke with a two-pitch mix including his curveball that showed good depth. Similar speed on the curveball to the fastball. Online landing leg with true life to his fastball. Looking for weak contact early in the count. Righthanded hitter with a slightly open stance. High hand set with a high back elbow and a slight hitch in his hands. Some feel for the barrel of the bat with contact primarily going to the opposite field. Great student.
