2022 Deep South Prospect Showcase
Jonas Louis is a 2023 OF/1B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Harvey, LA who attends Thomas Jefferson High School for Advanced Studies. Louis Ran a 7.05 sixty. Primary Outfielder Jonas has a long wiry frame with plenty of athleticism. He does a good job moving in the outfield with an aggressive approach fielding the ball to the side. Coming from a 3/4s arm slot Louis had some carry on his throws as they were right on the bag every time. At first base Jonas showed many good actions as well as he caught the ball cleanly with very Smooth hands. Jonas showed some arm strength across the infield as well. The Left Handed Hitter works with a medium open base as he engages the lower half very aggressively. He has a long lengthy swing with plenty of quickness in the barrel. He shows the ability to drive the bat through the zone on a linear plane, while showing some strength to the pull side as well. Jonas was named to the 2022 Deep South Prospect Showcase Top Team List.
