Carlos Browe is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Green Cove Springs, FL who attends Clay. Extra-large, broad shouldered build with present strength to frame and additional room to develop physically moving forward. Ran an 8.48 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, medium leg lift at start of delivery and stays balanced to the throughout, strides open some with front hip coming down the mound; long and loose arm action through the back, works to a three-quarters slot point and gets on top of the ball well at release. Fastball topped out at 70 mph, gets on top of hitters and attacked the zone, mostly true in life and pitched to contact, worked exclusively off of his fastball in this look. Short steps coming off the bag at first base, fields the ball out front with a wide base, developing footwork, works to a compact arm action with accuracy on throws across. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; subtle shift through lower half moving into contact; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Incorporates strength and size well when squared at the point of contact and on plane, occasionally gets downward with path. Shows comfort working to the middle and pull side parts of the field, opens front side early at times in swing. Very good student.
