Jason Franzel is a 2021 SS/RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Maitland, FL who attends Admiral Farragut Academy. Recorded a 7.32 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with a lean build and room to add strength to the frame. Primary shortstop with longer strides to the baseball and deliberate actions. Longer gather and throw with arm strength recorded up to 76 mph. Moves well and projects at the position. Righthanded hitter with a low hand set and a short load. Drops the bat head onto the baseball with tight hands and can work on a line to the backside. Can work to both sides of the field and can work to the opposite field with intent. Bat speed to project and can improve with more loft to the swing plane. Good student.
