2017 Pitcher/Catcher Showcase
Jordan Strick is a 2018 RHP/ with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from De Pere, WI who attends West De Pere. Large, tall frame with long limbs and wiry strength. Projects for additional size and strength with continued maturity. Primary right handed pitcher with a side step to leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather, front side shows some swing while working to the plate but stays on line well and carries momentum through finish. Smooth arm circle back at separation and released from a long, loose high three-quarters arm slot. Hides the baseball well with a fastball offering that flashed good running action to arm side topping at 84 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with good downer depth when staying on top of offering. Also showed the ability to work the bottom of the zone with a straight changeup in the upper 70's. Consistently attacked the strike zone and showed the ability to spot up on each edge of the plate as well. Tools will continue to develop with physical maturity and repetition. Very good student as well.
