Matthew Dutler is a 2020 OF/3B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Vernon Hills, IL who attends Adlai E Stevenson HS. Medium frame with an athletic build and beginnings of strength. Primary outfielder with aggressive footwork while traveling to and working through the baseball. Maintains momentum to bag while releasing from a compact arm slot. Throws produced accurate, on line carry to the bag at 84 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Fluid hand path to contact with a naturally lifted barrel plane through extension. Showed the ability to consistently turn the barrel head to baseball and generate sharp contact to the middle of the field and pull side gap.
