Luke Scoles is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 6-2 193 lb. frame from Richland,, MI who attends Gull Lake HS. Big and strong athletic build, especially in the lower half. Works from the third base side of the rubber and his closed a bit on landing, cross body delivery that creates some angle, high 3/4's to 3/4's arm slot, works quickly and has some energy to his delivery. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, hitters not seeing it well and were consistently late, fastball mostly straight but thrown for strikes. Gets good depth and tightness on his curveball when he's on top of it with some downer depth. Showed a promising change up with some late sink. Has the ability to mix and work around the strike zone and should continue to improve. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a lifted swing plane and an aggressive approach, looks to drive and lift the ball and has some strength at contact. Good student.
