Eric Laughlin is a 2020 1B/OF with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Billings, MT who attends Billings West HS. Medium frame with broad shoulders, lean with room to fill and time to do so. Ran a 7.03 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, attacks the baseball nicely with fluidity to actions and fielding out in front, winds up into throws while still getting rid of it quickly, long arm stroke with average arm strength, topped out at 77 mph from the outfield. Secondary first baseman, gets low to the ground at gather, good hands out in front, makes turns with fluidity and good footwork. Lefthanded hitter, narrow and open stance, leg lift trigger getting closed off, casts the barrel to the point of contact, hits the ball out in front, best when letting the ball travel and spraying line drives to all fields which he flashed the ability to do during his round, gets some extension through contact, some tools to work with and should improve with minor mechanical adjustments. Good student.
