Matt Kalinak is a 2021 SS/2B/OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Neshanic Station, NJ who attends Gill St Bernard's School. Recorded a 7.38 second 60-yard dash time. Long and lean build with a younger frame and plenty of room to fill out. Primary shortstop who moves well at the position with some lateral agility. Quick release on throws recorded up to 75 mph across the diamond. Deliberate actions and some feel for the backhand. Righthanded hitter with a narrow start and a short, controlled shift. Longer swing path with some natural loft to the plane. Timing heavy barrel plane with athleticism present in the swing. Strength at the point of contact and portends future power potential.
