Alex De Luca is a 2017 RHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Burnaby, BC who attends Burnaby Central Secondary. Large frame with solid physicality at present and good projection remaining as well. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.64 seconds Primary right-handed pitcher, shows shorter and more compact arm action with good acceleration to three quarters slot with good flexibility. Delivery features good tempo and quickness, lands online with good balance and extension. Fastball worked 76-79 MPH with late life to the arm side and quality command down in the zone. Showed curveball with good spin and 11/5 shape, featuring quality depth. Also flashed changeup with good velocity differential. Attacked hitters and kept the ball down in the zone. Very good student.
