Chase Bruno is a 2018 2B with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Summerville, SC who attends Ashley Ridge HS. Compact frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.37 sixty-yard dash. Primary second baseman with quick, active footwork while ranging to and working through the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling baseball out front and works through transfer with quick, efficient exchanges. Generated accurate, on line carry across the infield from a compact three-quarters arm slot topping at 72 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a spread, event stance and sweeping leg lift trigger. Creates good shift into contact with linear lower half actions. Hands stays compact to body at load and launch on a downward path through extension. Created a more level, line drive plane through extension when attacking the baseball further out front. Flashed solid bat speed and fluidity through the zone with a mid-field approach that created hard contact when squared. Very good student as well.
