Griffin Boykin is a 2019 2B/3B with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Jesup, GA who attends Wayne County. Medium frame with a solid build and beginnings of strength. Primary second baseman with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while surrounding the baseball. Clean, soft hands while funneling the baseball and worked through transition with loose glove to hand exchanges. Produced some on line carry across the infield topping at 77 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance simple leg lift trigger. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Inside hand path to baseball and employed a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Stays behind contact well and looked to drive the ball to the middle of the field and opposite field gap. Flashed occasional strength with some jump off the barrel when on time and squared. Excellent student.
