Matthew Morrison is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Calhoun, GA who attends Calhoun HS. Large frame with broad shoulders and beginnings of strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a small rock step to high leg lift delivery. Stays tall at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Compact arm action at take back and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball came out of hand cleanly creating running action to arm side in the low 80's, topped at 82 miles per hour. Also flashed a changeup offering that generated run with sink in the low 70's. Consistently located both offerings to the bottom quadrants of the zone and induced weak contact. Right handed hitter with a spread stance and top tap trigger. Worked to contact with rotational lower half actions. Compact, direct hand path to contact with a linear barrel plane through extension. Flashed present bat speed through the hitting zone with the ability to drive the gaps when squared.
