Chace Cooper is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-1 145 lb. frame from Charleston, SC who attends West Ashley HS. Medium frame with very slender build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.79 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, long limbs help aid deception on mound, throws from lower three quarters slot with some effort, lengthy arm stroke through back, extends well through release, fastball worked 74-76 mph and peaked at 78 mph, commanded the pitch well to both sides of the plate. Worked in frisbee slider with horizontal break, able to throw it over glove side corner for strikes. Did a good job working in the zone and getting ground balls. Hit from wide base stance with high hand set, loads deep onto backside but doesn't fully shift into contact, line drive swing plane with whole-field approach, did a good job to get arms extended through contact. Very good student.
