Torin Crockett is a 2018 RHP/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Issaquah, WA who attends Issaquah HS. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build, good projection overall moving forward. Primary pitcher, shows simple delivery on the mound. Hands over head into windup, small stab through the back of arm action up to mid-three quarters arm slot, shows good direction to the plate with solid leg drive. Fastball worked 73-76 MPH with solid command around the zone. Also showed curveball with 11/5 shape and solid spin; mixed in changeup with solid velocity differential and slight arm side movement. Sets up to hit from tall, upright stance. Short and simple swing through the zone, compact approach with good hands and barrel control. Made firm contact on line drive plane consistently, showed good feel to go to all fields, will develop additional power with continued strength gains. Excellent student.
