Carlos Herrera is a 2020 MIF/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Immaculata-La Salle. Medium and athletic frame with some strength throughout. Ran a 7.33 second 60 yard dash. Primary middle-infielder, worked out in the infield with strong hands, showed some quickness in the feet with comfort ranging to both sides, short and compact arm action, accurate with throws, up to 79 mph across the infield. Secondary right-handed pitcher, live arm releasing through a high 3/4 arm slot, works downhill commanding to both halves, tight and sharp curveball with some swing and miss, fastball showed some heaviness up to 84 mph. Right-handed hitter, sets up open at the plate with a high leg kick, smooth swing with good bat speed, showed some whip and strength in the hands, ball comes off the bat nicely. Great student. Named to 2019 Florida Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
