Thomas Mandry is a 2017 SS/2B with a 6-1 176 lb. frame from Phillipsburg, NJ who attends Phillipsburg. Large frame with athletic, highly-projectable frame. Ran 40 yard dash in 5.22 seconds. Maintains a quality middle-field approach when hitting, leg lift trigger with solid shift into contact in swing. Gets on positive launch angle with hands dropping into swing a bit, still shows quality bat speed and strength off the barrel, did a good job hitting the ball into the air and working to all fields. Worked out defensively in the infield, short steps to the ball with solid fundamental footwork and quality athleticism. Fields cleanly and shows the ability to throw accurately across the diamond from multiple arm angles, arm strength clocked up to 77 MPH across the diamond. Very good student.
