Steven Johnson is a 2021 C/3B, MIF with a 5-6 145 lb. frame from Fort Mill, SC who attends Nation Ford. Small and young frame, room to fill and time to continue to fill out physically moving forward. Ran a 7.64 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, receives out in front with two hands, developing feel for his exchange from glove to hand, carries momentum to second base nicely, developing arm strength while accurately throwing to the second base bag, 2.22 second best pop time in catching drills. Secondary middle infielder, takes short steps to the baseball, glove works out in front, should work on gaining more ground towards target into throws for added strength behind throws. Righthanded hitter, narrow and slightly open stance, toe tap trigger and bat wrap into swing, level line drive swing plane getting his hips into it nicely, looks to lift, consistent line drives to all fields during round. Outstanding student.
