Michael Clements is a 2018 3B/RHP/C with a 5-8 180 lb. frame from Bardstown, KY who attends Bardstown HS. Medium frame with compact, strong present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.30 seconds. Sets up to hot from wide-based, even stance with leg lift trigger, coiled back into load, creates torque in shift, good intent in swing, linear plane with slight loft, shows good strength at point of contact when squared up. Middle field approach with ability to spray liners. Worked out in the infield, shows solid footwork to both sides, glove works well, clean funnel with smoothness to hands, gets off quick release, throws across clocked up to 79 mph. Pitched as well; long online arm stroke with slight wrap, overtop arm slot with spine tilt, straight fastball worked 77-82 mph with some command to bottom of the zone. Online land, some effort over front side. Showed curveball with very good depth; was able to manipulate shape of pitch. Threw strikes consistently with both pitches. Very good student.
