Skipper Snypes is a 2019 SS/RHP, 2B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Mobile, AL who attends Ums-Wright Preparatory School. Recorded a 7.40 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with present strength and athleticism to the frame. Primary shortstop with soft hands and easy carry on throws. Moves to the ball well with athletic actions and a clean, quick transfer. Arm strength recorded up to 85 mph with accurate throws. Secondary righthanded pitcher with an exclusive stretch delivery. Will pause at times and has good arm speed. Maintains on the breaking ball with sharp break and dive to the pitch. Lands online coming downhill and filled up the zone nicely. Lefthanded hitter with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Turns the barrel over well with line drives to all fields. Flashes some hip torque and will drift a bit in the load. Good student. Named to the 2018 Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
