Nicholas Walker is a 2019 C/ with a 6-2 212 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Village Christian. Large frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Primary catcher with a slightly taller, side set stance while receiving the baseball. Gains some ground while working out of crouch. Clean, loose glove circle while working through exchange. Released from a compact arm slot generating accurate, on line carry to the bag at 79 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.13. Right handed hitter with a spread, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Moves into contact well with lower half. Quick, efficient hand path to baseball with a linear barrel plane through extension. Consistently barreled the baseball producing sharp line drive contact to the middle of the field. Excellent student as well.
