Jordan Ku is a 2019 SS with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Huntington Beach, CA who attends Ocean View HS. Medium frame with an athletic build and wiry strength. Frame projects for additional strength. Primary infielder with good lateral range to each side. Flashed aggressive footwork while closing to the baseball with clean glove actions while funneling. Created stiff, accurate carry from a high three-quarters slot but flashed the ability to throw with accuracy from multiple arm slots as well, topped at 84 miles per hour. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing athletic actions while working through the baseball with sound glove actions and pick up and transition. Producing accurate carry to the bag, also at 84 miles per hour. Switch hitter, from the right side showed a balanced, even stance with a simple shift into contact. Linear barrel plane with some present bat speed. Displayed developing feel for the barrel with a mid field approach. Same stance from the left side, created more shift into contact with lower half. Uphill barrel plane with naturally loft. Flashed some strength with the ability to created carry to the gaps when on time and squared. Very good student.
