John Roberson is a 2018 OF/ with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Fredericksburg, VA who attends Massaponax. Medium frame with compact, athletic build. Ran well, posting a 6.76 seconds 60 yard dash time. Sets up to hit from even-based stance, backside hitter with rotational lower half, middle field approach on line drive swing plane, good bat-to-ball skills with ability to work to all fields. Worked out in the outfield, moves well to the ball and displays athleticism, two-hand mechanics on everything, gates hip into throwing mechanics, showed accuracy. Very good student.
