Michael Campbell is a 2019 SS/2B with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Larchmont, NY who attends Mamaroneck High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Solid runner, posted a 4.86 40-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, shows long strides going up the middle and puts athleticism on display, can continue to incorporate additional lower half on straight up plays, picks the backhand well, full arm action through the back, overall arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Utilizes a high leg lift trigger, stays short to the ball with hands and able to work the middle part of the field with comfort. Rising line drive contact off the barrel when on time, does a nice job of getting closed at point of contact. Very good student.
