Owen Swanson is a 2022 RHP/1B/OF with a 5-11 166 lb. frame from Santa Clara, CA who attends St. Francis. Medium frame with strong, athletic build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.58 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, quick arm through the back with compact stroke, lands closed off a bit and will have some trouble getting over front side as a result, fastball worked 78-81 mph with excellent sink. Showed curveball with sharp break, can change it to a slider look at times with sharpness, also mixed in a changeup and still threw 3 pitches for strikes. Hits from wider-spread stance with a bit longer of a swing, shows very good strength and leverage, generates good jump and carry off the barrel when squared up. Solid 3B ability in the infield, solid footwork around the bag, good arm strength across the diamond. Also took outfield reps, moves to the ball well and maintains momentum, efficient arm stroke clocked up to 83 mph on throws. Named to 2018 14u Northeast Top Prospect List, very good student.
