Nick Ahart is a 2018 SS/OF, 2B with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Cadiz, KY who attends Trigg County. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.36 sixty yard dash. Primary shortstop, funnels the baseball with two hands cleanly out front. Fields from a slightly deeper position while surrounding. Shows a compact arm action across the infield topping at 67 mph. Throws created some carry and accuracy to the bag. Right handed hitter with a balanced, even stance and high back elbow set. Simple front side trigger while striding to contact. Compact barrel path to baseball with a mid-field approach. Generates good extension through contact producing some carry to the outfield when squared. Tools will continue to develop with physical maturity and strength. Good student.
