Michael Brooks Carico is a 2020 C/ with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Winston Salem, NC who attends Glenn High School. Very young player with a lean, slender build, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically. Primary catcher, side saddle start, developing lower half explosion, and was accurate to the bags with throws. Posted a workout pop time of 2.22. At the plate, started with a narrow base, slightly open stance, and a medium hand set. Inconsistent weight shift and a linear swing path. Developing bat speed and an approach that worked all fields. Will continue to improve at the plate with additional lower half in swing. Exceptional student.
