2016 Mid Atlantic Top Prospect Showcase
Adam Snyder is a 2017 1B/OF, RHP, UT with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Erie, PA who attends McDowell High School. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, present strength proportioned nicely throughout frame. Ran a 7.24 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front and hands play nicely at ball, move swell off the bag, loose and easy arm action, gets on top of throws with an extended release point, comes out of hand cleanly with accuracy. Gets behind the ball well in the outfield, fields out front and uses a crow hop to gain momentum, gets on top of throws well with some whip to arm action at release release, tighter release point with an over the top release. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high back elbow in the box. Shows a short shift moving into contact with lower half and remains balanced through swing, short and inside swing path with a line drive plane. Smooth actions in the box, occasionally gets to front side early, shows a contact approach in the box and strength will continue to develop with additional extension in swing. Excellent student.
