2018 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
Evan Sutton is a 2018 LHP/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Kearney, MO who attends Kearney HS. Slender young build. Simple side step delivery with good gather on his back side, stays in line well with the plate well, loose arm circle and back coming to a 3/4's arm slot. Steady mid-70's fastball, gets good southpaw running action. Soft curveball had good 1/7 depth and changed eye levels effectively. Works to spots and attacks the strike zone aggressively with good feel for fastball location. Left handed hitter, upright open stance with a short line drive swing, tends to fly open with his front side before contact.
