Kellen Golden is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Myers Park HS. Recorded a 7.38 second 60-yard dash time. Athletic build with a physical present frame. Primary righthanded pitcher with a short arm action and very compact delivery. Higher three-quarters arm slot and can locate the ball to both sides of the plate. Will get life on the fastball either cutting to the glove side or with run when locating to the arm side. Could benefit from additional usage of the lower half. Secondary first baseman with deliberate actions and can make the plays well. Lefthanded hitter with an upright, slightly open stance. Simple front side trigger with a rotational lower half. Level, line drive swing plane and is looking to go gap-to-gap. High hand set with a high back elbow and a low effort overall swing. Tremendous student.
