Steven Zaguli is a 2017 LHP/1B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Clear Lake HS. Zaguli has a medium sized frame with a stocky build and some strength. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. He uses a full back turn at balance point and has a fairly directional delivery. He has some effort on his frontside and pounded the strike zone well. He gets some sink and run on his fastball and located it well. He threw a change up at 67 MPH with some sink on it. He also threw a curve ball at 69 MPH with developing shape and spin. He can improve his off speed stuff with more extension out front in his delivery. Zaguli showed developing defensive actions in the outfield with developing footwork. He starts with a low hand set up at the plate and has a slappy swing. Excellent student.
