Zachary Boyd is a 2019 LHP with a 6-1 135 lb. frame from Dade City, FL who attends Pasco HS. Very lean and athletic frame that projects nicely going forward. Primary lefthanded pitcher with a loose and fast arm; really works well. Tight three-quarters arm slot and the fastball gets short life to the arm side on it. Slight pause at the gather point and accelerates downhill effectively. Curveball is effective offering with 1/7 shape to it. Thrown on a similar plane as the fastball and can be throws for strikes with good power to the pitch. Similar arm speed on both pitches and pounded the strike zone effectively. Good arm speed in general and repeats the overall delivery exceptionally well. Stuff, frame, and arm speed all project for future velocity gains and attacks hitters well. Tremendous student.
