Ben Edwards is a 2019 C/3B, OF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Johnson City, TN who attends Science Hill. Large and sturdy frame. Ran a 7.03 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, works out of side saddle set crouch with clean footwork, exchanges the baseball from glove to hand quickly, lower exchange gaining ground to target, comes through the ball well and gains momentum to second base, full arm stroke getting on top of throws with accuracy to the bag, average arm strength, 1.98 second best pop time. Righthanded hitter, spread open stance with a high hand set and a high back elbow to start, hands are direct tot the baseball creating a level swing plane for the barrel to meet the baseball, stays on plane nicely, has a tendency to lift with the juice to do so. Good student.
