Kemp Alderman is a 2020 C/1B with a 6-4 240 lb. frame from Decatur, MS who attends Newton County Academy. Broad shouldered extra strong build, definition of "Country Strong". 7.02 runner, plays first base and catcher, future is very likely to be at first base, is very athletic there for his size, light on his feet and pivots well. Long and loose arm action behind the plate, raw arm strength plays, size will will be the obstacle. Bat is his big present tool, right handed hitter, short inside swing path with occasional separation out front, ball comes off the barrel exceptionally hard, 108 mph exit velocity, limited lower half use, huge power right now and more he can get to with adjustments. Did not pitch at the National Showcase but has been up to 94 mph at PG events since then. Good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi.
