Wes Bowlin is a 2019 1B/ with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Indian Trail, NC who attends Metrolina Christian Academy. Recorded a 7.83 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with present well-proportioned strength and physicality throughout the build. Primary first baseman with a full arm action and works through throws well. Reads the ball well through the throw and hands work well. Lefthanded hitter with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Spread open start with a deeper hand load and a leg lift trigger through contact. Naturally lofted swing plane with a direct path to contact. Good bat speed and gets extended well out in front. Can impact the ball with tremendous strength through the point of contact; recorded exit velocity up to 87 mph. Performed very well in game while handling velocity and bat speed plays well against live pitching. Named to the 2017 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
