Ben Crumpton is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Cleveland, GA who attends North Hall. Nice young athletic build with plenty physical projectability remaining. Works from the stretch with a low hand start and a slow leg raise to the plate, will need to make adjustments to speed up his mechanics with runners on base. Arm action is long and loose with a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball worked up to 84 mph, gets outstanding running life on his fastball at times, works low in the zone consistently. Tends to drop his arm slot on his slider and get under the pitch, has some tilt when he's on top of it and the pitch shows promise. Right handed hitter, hits from a still start with a tight hand start, moves in with his lower half well, short line drive swing with middle of the field line drive contact. 7.31 runner in the sixty. Plays outfield when not on the mound, showed his arm strength well out there. Good student. Named to the Summer Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
