Ronald Kirklin II is a 2018 OF with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Fort Lee, VA who attends St Christopher's. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean,projectable build with room to fill throughout body moving forward. Ran a 6.91 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps moving to the ball, works behind the ball and has a long gather and release from a compact and tight high three-quarters release point. Upright at release and occasionally gets under throws, arm strength will continue to develop with additional lower half incorporated into release. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high back elbow in the box, small and quick stride moving into contact. Simple load with a line drive swing plane, able to track pitches deep and shows comfort working the opposite field. Line drive contact with feel for the barrel and shows a contact approach at the plate. Very good student.
