Sajjan Desai is a 2018 OF/MIF with a 5-10 184 lb. frame from Bloomfield Hills, MI who attends Detroit Country Day Upper. Medium frame with a solid build. Shows some present strength throughout frame. Ran a 7.55 sitxy yard dash. Primary outfielder, closes to the baseball well with developing glove skills through transition. Creates a deep arm cirlce back at separation and releases from a near over top arm action. Throws created some on line carry to the bag with some accuracy. Also worked out defensively from the infield, clean glove actions while funneling the baseball with effecient glove to hand exchanges. Similar arm action from the over top slot producing some carry with accuracy across the infield. Right handed hitter with a spread, straight stance and high back elbow set. Compact hand path to contact creating a line drive plane through extension. Ball jumps off the barrel some to the gaps when squared. Swings with intent to drive the baseball, consistently squared up baseball producing loud contact. Good student as well.
