Gabe Sanford is a 2023 2B/OF with a 5-7 120 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Pope. Compact and skinny frame with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.81 second 60 yard dash. Primary second baseman, worked out in the infield with a good first step instincts, funnels the baseball well with softness to his hands, moves well through gather and has athleticism into his release, topped out at 69 mph across the diamond. Secondary outfielder, sits back on the baseball before fielding it out in front, takes a full arm action up to a 3/4 arm slot into throws, showed similar arm strength as in the infield. Right-handed hitter, sets up at the plate with an open stance and a high hand set, active hand load with rotational actions to his swing, creates a line drive swing plane and repeats his swing, middle of the field line drive approach. Great student.
