Blake Moore is a 2020 3B/C, 2B, OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from San Ramon, CA who attends Dougherty Valley. Compact frame with a medium build. Ran a 7.51 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary third baseman. Moves well with clean hands out in front and a funnel in. Moves well in each direction with occasional accurate carry across the diamond at 76 MPH. Also worked out as a secondary catcher. Sets up in a medium stance. Quick exchanges into a compact arm action. Ball comes out well topping out at 73 MPH and popping a 2.08. Also worked out from the outfield. Moves well to the ball with an aggressive close. Clean footwork working through the ball. Arm strength plays well topping out at 83 MPH. Righthanded hitter with a slightly crouched stance and simple leg lift trigger. Rotational lower half with a compact and direct path to the baseball. Can turn the barrel when working to the pull side. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a simple delivery and short arm action. Free and easy motions into three-quarter slot. Locates the fastball at 78 MPH and mixes in the 11-to-4 curveball often. Very good student as well.
