Jabari Johnson is a 2023 MIF/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Douglasville, GA who attends Chapel Hill. Medium and slender frame with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.38 second 60 yard dash. Primary middle infielder, worked out at the position with a gather out in front, moves well laterally with good actions, accurate throws up to 72 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher, starts his delivery with a rocker step up to a high leg lift, takes his arm back to a compact arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, stays compact with release, varies leg lifts to throw off timing of hitters, fastball topped out at 72 mph with sinking action to the pitch, mixes in a curveball with 12-6 shape. Right-handed hitter, sets up with an even stance, slightly open, toe tap trigger with a feel for the barrel, creates extension and flashes hand speed to the ball, projects well with strength, all fields approach. Good student.
