Galvin Sims, Jr. is a 2022 SS/RHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Memphis, TN who attends Whitehaven. Medium frame with young, athletic build showing room to fill down the road. Ran a 7.75 second sixty yard dash. Primary shortstop, short, choppy steps through the baseball before working around it, young footwork with good hands, compact arm action before delivering across diamond. Secondary righthanded pitcher, wide stance on the mound before working into side step with a lower leg lift, full arm action while delivering from a high 3/4 arm slot, fastball 73-79 with curveball at 60. Righthanded hitter, even stance while showing to be athletic, shifts weight onto front foot early, smooth swing with some bat speed, repeatable motions while consistently finding the barrel, linear swing path spraying the baseball to all fields. Great student.
