Clark Griffin is a 2020 3B/RHP, SS, OF with a 5-8 180 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Mountain Brook. Small and stocky frame. Ran a 7.66 second 60 yard dash. Primary third baseman, took reps in the infield with playable footwork, fields the baseball out in front, exchanges the ball cleanly from glove to hand, hands play but could be softer at the point of gather, average arm strength across the diamond topping out at 75 mph during infield drills. Secondary righthanded pitcher, begins windup with a simple side step to a belt high leg lift, full arm action up to a high 3/4 slot, short stride down the mound landing closed. Fastball is mostly straight with occasional cutting action as he pounded the strike zone with it up to 77 mph, mixed in an 11-to-5 curveball with feel and depth to it. Righthanded hitter, wide base with a high hand set and a high back elbow, drops hands into load, compact to the baseball with a level swing plane, could utilize lower half more into swing, gets on top of the baseball at the point of contact, things to like in the swing but needs some refining to hands.
