2016 Pitcher Catcher Showcase
Noah Argenta is a 2018 C with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Fair Grove, MO who attends Fair Grove HS. Medium build, thicker frame. Right handed hitter with an open stance and high hand set. Strides to an even stance with a higher leg lift trigger and linear lower half actions to contact. Shows balance throughout swing with good rhythmn, tends to hit off a tall front side at times. Pull side approach and generates some bat speed with a fast front side and lofted swing path on pitches middle-in. Tends to be extended at contact with pitches on the outer half of plate. Behind the plate shows a wide base and low, balanced set. Quiet actions while receiving with soft/ strong hands while framing. Funnels the baseball on the edges well. Shows some lateral range while blocking with a soft body that keeps the baseball close. Shows a low exchange across mid section on throws. Gains a lot of ground on throws to second with some bounce. Throws were accurate with some online carry. Good defensive tool set for a 2018. Very good student as well.
