Adam Link is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Springfield, MO who attends Kickapoo HS. Medium frame, medium build. Body projects for added strength and size. Fast paced tempo with a high energy release on the mound. Shows a long arm action back at separation with a 3/4 arm slot at delivery. Solid arm speed on a fastball that jump on hitters with some cutting action, topped at 84 mph. Good feel for slider that shows diving 10/4 shape with sharp, late break at 74 mph. Flashed a change up with good fading actions with arm side run at 75 mph. Aggresive pitcher who likes to attack the zone. Right handed hitter with a slightly open stance and linear lower half actions to contact, front foot tends to be late closing at times. Compact, inside hand path with a line drive swing plane. Ball comes off barrel well while using a mid-field to pull side approach. Worked out defensively from the outfield. Developing athletic actions through the baseball. Compact arm action with some carry and occasional arch, topped at 85 mph. Solid two way prospect. Very good student. Named to the 2016 National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
