Michael Buice is a 2018 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Johnson Ferry Christian Academy. Large frame with highly projectable build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.42 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher, long arm stroke through the back with good looseness, throws from three quarters arm slot, fastball worked 83-87 MPH with good arm side life. Showed curveball with 10/4, slurvy shape but with good sharpness and bite; also mixed in changeup with good velocity separation and some fade. Filled up the zone with three pitches. Sets up to hit from upright, slightly open stance with high back elbow and big leg lift trigger. Swing is geared on slightly downward to linear plane, best contact came to the middle of the field. Worked out at 1st base, shows good athleticism off the bag, bends well to field cleanly, shows highly advanced arm strength for position, clocked up to 87 MPH across the diamond with good accuracy. Named to 2016 Main Event Top Prospect List, good student.
